The entry fee is £30 (the same as 2009) and up to 32 entries will be accepted. The EGCC will consist of an initial section of block play in order to determine the top 16 players. This will be followed by a knock-out section for the top 16 to determine the 2010 Champion and a Plate event for the non-qualifiers and early round losers in the knock-out section. Of the 32 entries, 26 places have been allocated to the FEC members based on GC playing strength, with six places allocated to England , two places to Ireland and Sweden and one place to the other 16 FEC members. Individual entries are encouraged for the six places not allocated to or taken up by FEC members (“direct entry places”). If there are more applicants for such places than places available, allocation will be according to the International Golf Croquet Rankings as at 12 March 2010. All play will be in accordance with the 2007 WCF Rules as published by the Croquet Association and will consist of best-of-three 13 point games except that single 19 point games may be used in the block section and single 19 or 13 point games may be used in the Plate if time and entries so require.
